According to Nissan’s marketing department, the new 2016 Nissan Maxima took much of its inspiration, at least as far as the design elements go, from fighter jets. Now, personally, I don’t think Maverick is going to be ditching his motorcycle anytime soon to start driving the new Maxima, but for those of us who do not need to keep up that flyboy image, the Maxima is a very intriguing car.
The Maxima spans multiple categories as the lower trim levels can compete in the mid-sized and large sedan class while the upper trim level, the Platinum (the model we had for our review) is part of the entry level luxury market.
