When you look at the features of this entry into the popular mid-size SUV class, especially our $58k as-tested example, it looks like an all-world contender. Maybe a little more power would be nice, but with the technology package there is a huge list of safety features. The 8” screen, Bose stereo, and ‘all around’ camera system all sound incredible. But the sense I got while driving is that it didn’t quite live up to the promise I saw on the page.
It’s still a very good SUV, and the looks – from some angles – are quite nice as well. From other angles, the complex curved design language loses some appeal for me, as it looks as if it’s trying a bit too hard…
