2015 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible Review | Chicago News

There’s no denying the Volkswagen Beetle is a distinctive car. I mean, who hasn’t smacked a friend in the arm while shouting “Slug bug!” or “Punch buggy” at some point in their life? Even people with no knowledge or interest in cars can easily pick a Beetle out of a lineup. And it is for this exact reason that the styling change to the new Beetle is a particularly bold choice.

Don’t get me wrong, it still looks like a Beetle, only it’s a little less… let’s say, flowery. The new design is sleeker and a little more stretched out, slightly toning down the cute factor, and returning to a retro style reminiscent of the Beetle of yesteryear. And this is a good thing, because now it just might appeal to a larger variety of buyers.
