The 2018 Olympic Winter Games Opening Ceremony will start at 5 a.m. CST on Friday from Pyeongchang Olympic Stadium in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Due to the 15-hour time difference between South Korea and Chicago, NBC will not broadcast the ceremony on live television. However, the event can be viewed tomorrow morning on NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports app (Android / iOS).
The delayed, main broadcast will be hosted by Katie Couric and Mike Tirico and air at 7 p.m. CST tomorrow night. All 93 participating countries will partake in the festivities, celebrate South Korea’s culture and history, and watch the lighting of the Olympic flame.
The closing ceremony for the 23rd Winter Olympics will occur on Sunday, February 25, at 7 p.m. CST. This spectacle will also be held at PyeongChang Olympic Stadium and aired on NBC. Norway has been installed as +150 favorites to win the most medals during the games, according to OddsShark.
