Garage burglaries in Albany Park

A series of garage burglaries have occurred in Albany Park. The first of these incidents occurred on the 4000 block of North Kostner Avenue on April 15th. The suspect in this burglary has been described as a 5’5, white female between the ages of 28 and 32. The suspect is approximately 120-130 pounds and has curly, black hair. Following incidents occurred on April 18th on the 4200 block of North Kildare Avenue and the 4400 block of North Keokuk Avenue, and on April 19th on the 4300 block of North Tripp Avenue.

Man wanted for aggravated battery

A man was standing at the 100 block of West Van Buren at approximately 8:42 p.m. on Friday, April 27th when he was approached by a man asking for a cigarette. The victim replied no and the offender stabbed him in the neck and stomach before fleeing. The victim walked until he found assistance. The offender was a black male, 38-45 years of age, and approximately 6’3. He was wearing a dark jacket, light blue hat, and ripped light blue jeans.

Apartment burglaries in Albany Park

Several apartment burglaries have occurred in Albany Park. Offenders have been reported as entering the apartment through a back door or window and taking property. Three burglaries occurred on the 3800 block of West Cornelia Avenue between 12:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on April 14th. Another occurred on the 3400 block of West Grace Street between 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. April 18th. The most recent incident took place on the 3400 block of West Byron Street between 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. on April 23rd. In this incident, suspects were described as three hispanic males wearing orange construction vests.

Commercial burglaries in Town Hall

Two burglaries have occurred in the 19th District, Town Hall. Both incidents occurred when the businesses were closed. The offenders shattered the glass front door and tried open the ATM machines inside.

The first of these incidents occurred between April 12th-13th at 3231 North Clark Street. The second one occurred on April 16th at approximately 4:00 p.m. at 3352 N Sheffield. Information about the offender(s) is unknown.
