Thomas Roszak, a Chicago-based architect, and partner Dan Moceri have big plans for a small parking and retail building near Millennium Park.
According to a report from Crain’s, the two plan to develop a high-rise apartment tower on the site of the parking structure, located at 50 E. Randolph Street. The building that is being planned for redevelopment currently houses retail stores such as a T-Mobile store, as well some restaurants like QDOBA Mexican Eats, Gold Coast Dogs, and Popeye’s.
Roszak explains that his team is aiming for a 2020 completion date. The site could be redeveloped into an apartment building with 280 to 300 units, rising about 400 feet below the location’s current zoning designation.”
