On Wednesday January 10, a new partnership between Chicago-based Grubhub and White Castle was announced. Depending on the markets where both brands are available, a new system will offer delivery from White Castle restaurants across the country.
Grubhub is an online and mobile-food ordering company that specializes in connecting food lovers with local restaurants. Currently, the company has around 10 million active members spread across more than a thousand cities in the U.S. as well as the United Kingdom. Today Grubhub adds White Castle, a restaurant that was originally founded in 1921, to its list of over 55,000 restaurant partners.
“We’re honored to partner with the iconic White Castle brand to power delivery from Castles across the country,” Grubhub CEO Stan Chia said. “Our orders show that sliders are clearly on the rise, and we’re thrilled to deliver more of what our nearly 10 million diners crave.”
Along with the news of their partnership, the two companies announced a sweepstakes in which the White Castle food truck, the Crave Mobile, will deliver a “feast” to one winner and his “viewing party” during Feb. 4th’s Superbowl.
