Savor the holidays. Because come January, Hershey’s Chocolate World Chicago store on Michigan Avenue will shut down.
The Hershey’s store in the heart of downtown Chicago will shut shop after more than a decade. Set up in 2005 on the Magnificent Mile, the Hershey’s Chocolate World Chicago will draw the curtains in January 2017, confirmed Anna Lingeris, spokesperson for Hershey Company.
“As we look to our future as a leader in experiential retail, we are focusing our efforts on larger scale footprints that allow for more experiential interactions between our consumers and our beloved and iconic brands,” Lingeris said. “Hershey’s Chocolate World Chicago will remain open throughout the holiday season and will close at a date to be determined in January 2017.”
The date of closing is not yet revealed, nor are plans for any other Chicago location for the chocolate company.
So chocolate lovers, make the most of the holiday season and head over to Hershey’s on the Magnificent Mile to satiate and load up on your kisses.
