1. Friday, October 27, 3:15 p.m. in the 3800 block of West Augusta

A 37-year-old man was shot and injured in the west neighborhood of Humboldt Park last Friday. According to reports, the man was shot in the knee, thigh and abdomen and was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition. The victim was walking as shots were fired from a moving light colored vehicle. No further information was provided.

2. Friday, October 27, 4:52 p.m. in the 4200 block of South Michigan Avenue

A 58-year-old man was injured in a shooting in the Bronzeville neighborhood on the South Side last Friday. According to police, the man was walking when a shooter appeared from an alley and began to open fire. The victim was taken to Mercy Hospital with gunshot wounds to the left leg, but his condition was soon stabilized, police said.

3. Friday, October 27, 9:25 p.m. in the 6800 block of West North Avenue

A 21-year-old man was shot in the back in the northwest neighborhood of Galewood, police said. He was taken to Loyola Medical Center in Maywood where his condition was listed as stable. According to police, the man was very uncooperative and the situation surrounding the shooting still remained unclear.

4. Saturday, October 28, 4:28 a.m. in the 2800 block of West Division

In the early hours of Saturday morning, a 21-year-old man was shot in the west neighborhood of Humboldt Park. The victim was walking when he got in the crossfire of two vehicles, according to police. He went to Norwegian Hospital where he was treated and soon released for a gunshot wound to the arm.

5. Saturday, October 28, 3:47 a.m. in the 5800 block of West Waveland

Another early morning shooting occurred in the Northwest Side neighborhood of Portage Park. A 20-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds to the abdomen, back, arm and buttocks, according to reports. He called someone to tell them he’d been shot and they took him to Community First Hospital, but had to be transferred to Illinois Masonic Medical Center when he was listed in critical condition, according to police.

6. Tuesday, October 31, 9:00 a.m. in the 7300 block of South Oglesby

A 63-year-old man was shot and killed in the South Shore neighborhood on Tuesday. According to police, the man identified as Harold Stewart was shot in the head and upper body at about 9:05 a.m. on Tuesday. He was found unresponsive at the scene and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead at around 10:22 a.m. the same morning. He lived on the same block where the shooting occurred, police said.

7. Tuesday, October 31, 8:00 p.m. in the 3900 block of West Montrose

A 20-year-old man was shot in the northwest side neighborhood of Albany Park Tuesday night. According to police, the shooting occurred just before 8 p.m. on Halloween and the man was taken to the Swedish Covenant Hospital where his condition had stabilized.

8. Tuesday, October 31, 8:56 p.m. in the 7000 block of West Grand

A 17-year-old boy was shot in the northwest side neighborhood of Montclare on Tuesday night. According to police, the boy was riding his bike in the area when several males standing on the sidewalk began to open fire. The victim was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood where he was treated for a gunshot wound to the right leg. He was treated and soon released, police said.

9. Tuesday, October 31, 10:00 p.m. in the 4000 block of West Palmer

A man suffered serious injuries after being beaten with a baseball bat in the northwest side neighborhood of Hermosa Tuesday night. According to police, the 56-year-old male got into an argument with a driver while he was crossing the street. The driver pulled out a baseball bat and struck the man in the head and fled the scene. The victim was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center for serious injuries. Police are investigating the incident as aggravated battery, but have made no arrests.

10. Wednesday, November 1, 1:32 a.m. in the 4600 block of North Greenview

Two men were shot in the North Side neighborhood of Ravenswood in the early hours of Wednesday. According to police, the two men, one 20 year old and a 23 year old were sitting in a mini-van when shots were fired at them. Both were taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center for treatment, but the 23 year old suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the back and was listed in critical condition. The 20 year old was shot in the left shoulder and was also listed in serious condition. No additional information has yet to be released.
