1. Friday, December 1, 5:15 p.m. in the 3600 block of West Ainslie

Police are warning that robbers are snatching purses from women on the Northwest Side.  According to police, at least six purse robberies were reported in a week near the Northwest Side.  One of the suspects was described as a Hispanic male between 15 – 35 years old and the other a black male between 16 – 20 years old with dreadlocks.  Area North detectives are still investigating the robberies and are urging anyone with information to contact them at (312) 747 – 8263. 

2. Friday, December 1, 8:34 p.m. in the 400 block of West 38th Place

A man whose age was not listed was shot and killed in the Bridgeport neighborhood Friday night.  According to police, officers responded to a call of shots fired in the South Side neighborhood where they found the man with a gunshot wound to the neck.  He was taken to Stroger Hospital where he died.  Medical examiner’s haven’t confirmed his identity. 

3. Sunday, December 3, 4:15 p.m. in the 2500 block of South Homan

A 44-year-old man was shot and injured in the Little Village neighborhood Sunday evening.  According to police, the wounded man was found by officers called to the scene.  The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was treated for a gunshot wound to the leg and listed in good condition. 

4. Tuesday, December 5, 7:35 p.m. in the 1500 block of North Hudson

A 25-year-old man was shot in the left arm Tuesday night in the Old Town neighborhood on the Near North Side.  According to Chicago Police, the victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was listed in good condition.  No arrest had been made or further details provided of the shooting as of Wednesday night.

5. Tuesday, December 5, 7:30 p.m. in the 4200 block of North Albany

A 19-year-old man was shot in the leg Tuesday night in the Northwest neighborhood of Albany Park after another man tried grabbing him.  According to the police report, the victim was grabbed by the shooter but was able to run away.  After getting free the shooter fired at him, hitting him in the leg.  The victim was taken to Swedish Covenant Hospital where his condition was listed as stable. 

6. Tuesday, December 5, 10:30 p.m. in the 2900 block of North Whipple

A 26-year-old woman was carjacked at gunpoint Tuesday night in the Logan Square neighborhood.  According to police, the woman was parking her silver Infiniti SUV when two armed men demanded her keys.  After handing them over the suspects drove off eastbound in the stolen vehicle.  No injures were reported and as of Wednesday evening no suspects had been arrested. 

7. Wednesday, December 6, 1 a.m. in the 800 block of North Bishop

A 32-year-old man was exiting his 2016 Volkswagon GTI when two armed men approached him and demanded his phone and keys early Wednesday morning in the Noble Square neighborhood.  The suspects drove off in his car.  According to police, the vehicle was located soon after in the 1800 block of South Karlov and two suspects were taken into custody.  No injures were reported from the robbery

8. Wednesday, December 6, 2:17 a.m. in the 1000 block of North Clark

A 20-year-old man was walking along the sidewalk on the Near North Side early Wednesday morning when a black car pulled alongside him and someone inside fired shots.  According to police, the victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound to the left arm.  His condition had stabilized. 

9. Wednesday, December 6, 12:15 p.m. in the 3200 block of West Walnut Street

A 26-year-old man was shot and killed in the East Garfield Park neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.  According to police, a dark-colored sedan pulled up to the victim and someone inside opened fire.  The victim was taken to Stroger Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds where he was pronounced dead.

10. Wednesday, December 6, 10:34 a.m. in the 2500 block of South Blue Island

A 15-year-old boy was shot during an attempted robbery Wednesday morning in the Heart of Chicago neighborhood.  According to police, the boy and another male were fighting when the other male pulled out a handgun and demanded his belongings.  The suspect shot at the boy before running away.  The victim was taken to Stroger Hospital with a gunshot wound to the hand where his condition was listed as stable.  Area Central detectives are still investigating the shooting.
