A teenage felon from the West Side is charged with vehicular hijacking and armed robbery

A convicted felon named Jesse Davis was charged with vehicular hijacking and armed robbery on March 7, according to authorities. The 19-year-old Davis allegedly approached a 28-year-old male on the 2100 Block of West Monroe and proceeded to steal his vehicle at gunpoint on January 7 at approximately 2:45 p.m. Six days later, on January 13 at 3:45 p.m., Davis reportedly approached a 28-year-old female with a firearm on the 600 Block of North Wolcott. Davis punched the victim, threw her onto the ground, and stole her cell phone. The offender is facing one felony count of armed robbery with a firearm, one felony count of aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm, and one felony count of aggravated battery.

Davis was scheduled to appear in Central Bond Court on March 8. No additional details are available at this time.
