Las Vegas Gunman Booked Hotel Overlooking Lollapalooza

Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock reportedly booked a room at Chicago’s Blackstone Hotel overlooking Grant Park during Lollapalooza. As investigators dig deeper into the past of Paddock they’ve uncovered hotel bookings in August during Chicago’s largest music festival and a hotel booked overlooking Las Vegas’ Life is Beautiful Festival in September. According to a law enforcement source, Paddock reserved two rooms at Blackstone with a clear view of the outdoor festival, but never showed up for his reservation. In light of the recent attack in Las Vegas with the loss of 58 people, investigators are speculating Paddock may have been planning an attack months before this one. His reservations covered all four-days of the event that brought hundreds of thousands of fans including former President Barack Obama’s daughters Malia and Sasha and our Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

Police also believe he may have scouted Fenway Park and other Boston venues before the Las Vegas shooting as well. Paddock’s motive behind the shooting is still unknown. The shooter put an incredible amount of preparation into this shooting, but investigators still don’t understand why. He had been “living a secret life, much of which will never be understood.”
