While according to the stock market this may be true, can Tesla truly be worth more than the 100 years of history Ford has under its belt? Consider that Ford sold more F-150 trucks in a month last year than Tesla sold vehicles all last year and it doesn’t seem to make any sense. What has really happened is that investors are being very optimistic and hoping that the Model 3 will be a resounding success and push Tesla to the next level. Those investors might want to be careful as all it would take is one massive recall or problems with production, even a prolonged delay in the release of the much awaited Model 3, and things could quickly change. The less-expensive Model 3 is meant to make Tesla accessible to most people, and transform Tesla into a true mass-market automaker. The question will be can it replicate in 2018 what it did in 2016 when it will be officially launched.
